Your digital footprint is everything about you that exists online — from social media posts and photos to online shopping records, search history, and account registrations. It is divided into active footprints (content you deliberately post) and passive footprints (data collected about you, like your IP address, location, and browsing behaviour). Once online, information can be extremely difficult to remove completely.
